5 Dog-Friendly Restaurants in Cape Town

Hate being left at home when your pawrents go out for lunch? Yep, me too. That's why I want all my fur friends to know about the awesome dog friendly restaurants I've tried so far.

1. Ou Meul Melkbosstrand

Between Big Bay (where I stay) and Melkbosstrand (beautiful town), you will find this lovely restaurant. This is one of the few places that are not only pet friendly, but have a massive grass area where I can run around. The grass area is enclosed so mom and dad don't have to worry about me running away, and sometimes there's other dogs there as well that I can play with. Last but not least, our waiter gave me a delicious dog biscuit for free and a fresh bowl of water, how's that for great service. I would highly recommend this one furfriends.

2. Reload CT - Leadville

So here's something really exciting guys, a restaurant AND an enclosed dog park in the SAME SPACE!!! Reload is pet friendly so mom and dad can enjoy a coffee and some yummy food. There's also a doggy menu, so you're not left to watch them eat while you just sit around. After lunch, walk through the gate into Leadville Dog Park and run free! This is an offleash dog park that's enclosed and free to enter. Lots of grass, a water fountain, and many other doggos to play with. Small doggos can either run with the big boys or choose to play with other smallies in a separate area. I enjoy playing with all the doggos there, big or small.

3. Saints Burger Joint

Not only is Saints Burger Joint pet friendly, but their food is absolutely delicious (says mom). I got to play around on my blanket while mom and dad enjoyed pizza and milkshakes. The pizza smelt amazing! Saints Burger Joint is one of the few places that allow us doggos inside as well.

4. The Daily Coffee Café - Eden On The Bay

The Daily is exactly what it says, mom and dad go there almost daily. Great coffee, amazing food, awesome service, and close to the beach. When we go here it means I get to run on the beach afterwards and that's one of my favourite things to do. I also get to meet other furfriends here since there's always other humans having coffee with their dogs. Us doggos are only allowed to sit with our pawrents outside on the deck.

5. Kapstadt Brauhaus Blouberg

Located in the same space as The Daily and Saints Burger Joint, you'll find this gem. Dog friendly both inside and outside, water bowls available, and only a couple steps to the beach. My pawrents love the atmosphere, food, and drinks. I love laying under the table (or on the seat next to my mom) while listening to the ocean and getting some delicious snacks. When I'm really good dad sneaks me some bockwurst... I know right?!
